SCAN Medical Director and Board-Certified Neurologist, Dr. Michelle B. Carnes is heading Las Vegas, Nev., this August where she’ll join less than 30 ACVIM & ECVIM diplomates and candidates for a two-day course focused on the clinical aspects of intracranial pathology.
The course focus will be on various approaches to the brain, brain tissue handling, hemostasis, intraoperative imaging (ultrasound), ultrasonic aspiration, methods of skull reconstruction and various diseases treated surgically.
Lectures will allow for the review of case-based materials covering specific diseases that may require surgery, as well as intra-operative photos and videos. A wet lab will also provide hands on experience with the procedures described.
